Sterling on the Lake Amenities

Sterling on the Lake is known for its amazing community amenities and for good reason, they are some of the best in the state. When you enter into Sterling on the Lake you immediately take notice of their amazing clubhouse sitting on the neighborhoods 45 acre lake and surrounded by the amphitheater, village greens, 2 pools, playgrounds and more. This stunning setting is why Sterling on the Lake has been the number one community in Flowery Branch GA for years.

You could literally spend days walking through everything Sterling on the Lake has to offer but we will try and give you a brief overview here.

As we said before the first thing you will notice when you arrive at Sterling on the Lake is the lakeside clubhouse. The clubhouse includes a beautiful flagstone patio that overlooks the 2 pools and runs the full width of the clubhouse. The outdoor patio area includes a veranda with an outdoor fireplace and plenty of room to relax on one of the many rocking chairs. Inside the clubhouse you will find elegant meeting rooms, a caterer’s kitchen, a 27-seat movie theater for residents and a 24-hour fitness center. This truly is one of the nicest clubhouses you will visit in Northeast Atlanta.

Once outside the back of the clubhouse you will be overlooking Sterling on the Lakes 2 pools. The first pool is a competition style infinity pool where you can swim laps or relax. The second pool is a beach entry style pool with a 2-story water slide, great for the kids and adults alike (trust us, we have been down the slide, it’s worth it).

Directly behind the 2 pools in Sterling on the Lake you find the start to the nature path that follows the lakeshore and continues throughout the neighborhood. This is one of our favorite features of the neighborhood because it gives us a great opportunity to unwind with the family and take a walk, jog or just enjoy a bench lakeside to watch the ducks.

The 45 acre lake directly behind the clubhouse is the most sought after amenity in the neighborhood. Unique to this community lake is the picnic island. Just cross a short bridge from the nature path and start to relax on this beautiful island located directly in the middle of the lake. Another great feature of the lake is the fishing dock and boat ramp. Sterling on the Lake is a catch and release community but has some of the best fishing in Northeast Atlanta. Reserved for residents, fishing is a great way to spend time with family or get out of the house for some quiet time. If you’re interested in getting out on the water you can either check out a kayak or canoe from the bank or if you have a boat with an electric motor you can put it in at the community boat ramp.

Once you’re done fishing you can relax at yet another great spot, the Lakeside Pavilion. The Lakeside Pavilion is located right off the fishing dock and surround on 3 sides by water. The covered pavilion boasts multiple picnic tables along with a fireplace and outdoor grilling area.

All of these amazing amenities and we haven’t even left the back of the clubhouse, truly amazing.

Going back now to the front of clubhouse is one of three playgrounds for children to enjoy. While you are at the pool your kids can play on the playground without leaving your sight. One of the best parts about the clubhouse at Sterling on the Lake is you’re always close no matter what you’re doing.

Walking across the parking lot from the clubhouse you will find the Village Green Amphitheater. The Village Green is an amazing place to play, meet new friends and enjoy the community. The Village Green is the site of popular community events such as the 4th of July Fireworks Festival, the Hot Air Balloon festival and the Sterling on the Lake car show. It’s also just a great place to kick a soccer ball or throw a football on a nice sunny day.

Just a short walk from the Village Green, on Tree House Way, you will find the neighborhood tree house. Yes, you heard that right, the neighborhood tree house. Located on the right side of Tree House Way, a little back in the woods, you can enjoy one of the best tree houses ever. The picture should say everything, it’s an amazing feature for the kids :-)

Leaving the clubhouse area and crossing the lake the next stop is one of two tennis centers. This tennis center, located on Lake Sterling Blvd, has 6 tennis courts and the second kids playground. Sterling on the Lake has amazing tennis programs ranging from beginners to professionals.

Now we can head up Lake Crossing Drive to the second cluster of amenities and second tennis center. This amenities package is located off of Lake Crossing Drive between Lazy Hammock Way and Brookstone Crossing. Here you will find 2 more tennis courts, the third playground, basketball court and the much appreciated restrooms. In a community this large it’s great that they have amenities throughout the neighborhood so at no time do you crowded.

As you can see Sterling on the Lake has so many amenities and something for everyone. The good news is, what you have seen here isn’t even everything. Sterling on the Lake is building 2 more amenity centers. The first will be located in The Springs”, a wonderful pod community located at the front of Sterling on the Lake and the second will be across Capitola Farm Road located directly off of Trailside Drive.
